2012 Anniversary Dinner Dance Honorees

Martin S. Foont is married to his wife Ronnie of 45 years and is also the extremely proud father of Brian and Julie. Brian, an attorney in private practice, and his wife Jennie have two daughters, Gitel and Jackie. Julie married Jonathan Hemli this past November. Both Julie and Jonathan are physicians at Lenox Hill Hospital.

Marty has served as the President and CEO of Globe Tax Services, Inc. since founding the company in 1992. As one of the foremost experts on withholding tax recovery, Mr. Foont has built GlobeTax into the preeminent independent provider of withholding tax recovery services. GlobeTax currently counts among its clients many of the world’s largest banks, brokers and investment firms. The company just celebrated its 20th anniversary.

Prior to founding GlobeTax, Mr. Foont held senior managerial positions with IBM, Citigroup and Bankers Trust. At the latter he was head of Global Securities Services and among other things had the responsibility for recovering withheld taxes on over US$30 billion of custodied assets. Mr. Foont has more than 35 years of managerial experience in improving, streamlining and enhancing financial service offerings.

Mr. Foont holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial & Management Engineering from Columbia University, an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering from New York University.

Aliza Licht graduated the University of Maryland as a Francis Scott Key scholar with a B.S. in Neurobiology and Physiology in 1996 with dreams of becoming a plastic surgeon. After deciding she couldn't spend a life in scrubs, she started in the fashion industry as an accessories intern at Harper's Bazaar magazine and then as an assistant accessories editor at Marie Claire. In 1998 she made the jump to Public Relations when she joined Donna Karan International. Aliza is currently the senior vice president of global communications there. In addition to her traditional public relations responsibilities, Aliza manages the company's award winning social media efforts as DKNY PR GIRL (@dkny) on Twitter and dknyprgirl.com on Tumblr.

Aliza is married to David Licht, senior vice president at Avenue Capital. Their two children, Jonathan, 7 and Sabrina, 4, attend Rabbi Arthur Schneier Park East Day School where Aliza serves as vice president of the Parent's Association and plays an active role in the school community.

Debbie Meskin Rochlin began her career at Rabbi Arthur Schneier Park East Day School in 1994 as a “floater” – a teacher without a class of her own who fills in for other teachers. From a teacher without a class of her own, Debbie has become responsible for ALL the early childhood classes!

Over the course of these wonderful and productive 18 (“Chai”) years, Debbie has enlivened Park East and has risen through the ranks, having served as a teacher and as Assistant Director, and she currently serves in the following multiple capacities:

• Director of the Early Childhood Program
• Director of Admissions for Rabbi Arthur Schneier Park East Day School
• Coordinator of the Park East Day School Summer Program.

Debbie is an outstanding educator who has touched the lives and hearts of both students and parents at Park East. It is her warm smile and personal touch that welcome our children on a daily basis as they enter the school. Her kindness and charm are exemplary.

Debbie graduated with honors from Queens College of the City University of New York where she earned both her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science in Early Childhood Education. She currently lives on the Upper East Side with her husband Kenneth and their three children: Zachary, Jacob and Daniella.

Yocheved Mitchell is the epitome of an Eishet Chayil. Always with a warm smile on her face and a relaxed manner, Park East Synagogue and Day School are her second home. She welcomes strangers and friends and serves as an ambassador of good will, promoting our community through her enthusiasm, thoughtfulness and kindness.

The proud parent of six beautiful children, Emanuella, Daniel, Michael, Jonathan, Sam, and Ariel, Yocheved serves on innumerable Synagogue and Day School committees promoting Jewish education, parenting and fundraising. She is an active member of the Parents Association and Synagogue Sisterhood.

Yocheved is a role model for devotion to her family, commitment to her community and acts of kindness and compassion to all. She and her husband Alex are known for their numerous philanthropic endeavors
